The family got to see a sneak preview of the New Ironman Movie last night. Guess it pays to collect comic books and have an in for free tickets. It was a great way to celebrate Seth's 15th birthday!

No spoilers just a big huge positive recommendation.

The move was terrific and Robert Downey, Jr. was perfect, I mean perfect, as Ironman. They basically got everything right; from Tony's snarkiness to the way the suit looks and works.

We all loved it!!!

They're making Thor? O.o

That was the first comic I read. I got interested due to the character's use in adventures in Babysitting. Wonder which identity they'll use, since he's gone through several.

Of course we'd have the same first comic. Thor was the first super hero comic I ever bought was the issue right before Walt Simonson took over and the phenomenal Beta Ray Bill arc began. Needless to say I was hooked

LOL! Too funny. I started with Thor, and followed the character to thunderstrike. Then the X-men kind of lured me away with Wolverine. (it didn't help that Thor was getting kind of unreadable and the art was only so-so for the run at the time).

I don't read many comics now. I kind of got tired of the all-new-all-different-all-over-again X-men. Although I occasionally pick it up Wheedon's work and skim it.

I don't read that many myself now either. And no suprise I too Mostly read the Whedon stuff too plus the SPN comic which is pretty good this go round. After that if a particular author/artist I like is doing something. I fell in and out of love with x-men too. There are way too many books and no consistency at all.

Hubby is still a big fan and we are running our of storage space [g]

I tend to wait for the trade paperbacks. But the reason I stopped buying monthly was that I was spending $60 a month just for the privelige of complaining about what was going on with them.
