strangevisitor7: I will call Her george (Princess Bride)
Leverage and Psych have had their season finales and the TV addict in me is very sad to have to wait until summer for these shows to return. Given that, I thought it might be time to do one of my summaries about the shows I’m watching and hear what y’all have to say about TV in general.

I will emphasize that if you aren’t watching Leverage you are missing one of the best shows on TV!

Opinions are under the cut in case anything constitutes Spoilers

strangevisitor7: I will call Her george (Leverage - Nate)
I've said it before and I'll say it again - I adore Leverage even when said show has a stupid episode as it did last night. There were still moments that made me laugh out loud.

For example: Nate is going through his fake IDs which read - Peter Davison, Sylvester McCoy and Tom Baker at which point Sophie then identifies herself as Sarah Jane. I mean who wouldn't love a show with shout outs to Dr. Who.

Cut in case of Spoilers )
strangevisitor7: I will call Her george (Winchesters - shoot her)
Hey guys, thanks for all the hugs and sympathy during my bout with food poinsoning. I hope I never have to go through that again. Luckily the training I had on give on Wedenesday was postponed until today - My boss was very sympathetic and let everyone know it was postponed. i don't think i could have stayed upright if I'd had to teach. Stayed home on Wednesday and slept pretty much until Thursday morning.

And a bonus to feeling better was a new Supernatural tonight.

My thoughts about SPN under the cut )
strangevisitor7: I will call Her george (TV Addict)
In January of 2008 I started the meme to watch 500 TV episodes in 2008. I've completed the list and linked that post below. As I looked over all the TV, I watched this year I realized how many shows I love have been canceled: Jericho, Moonlight, Eli Stone, Pushing Daises and Stargate: Atlantis.

The wrap up of my TV viewing for 2008:

1) Favorite Show : Supernatural (of course). This show has changed so much from what it was the first season but I am still a huge fan and an excited to see where it goes in 2009.

2) Favorite New Show: Leverage came late to the party but I adore this show. Besides the fact that Christian Kane is Hot and Timothy Hutton is a long time crush, the show is witty and snarky and just zings.

3) Favorite show discovered on DVD: Magnificent Seven. Rent it, watch it! You will not be disappointed I promise.

4) Hardest Cancellation: Where do I begin so many shows gone before their time. But for ultimate heartbreak it would have to be Jericho. They teased us with a second chance and then ripped it away

5)Show that disappointed: Bones. I really loved this show until they made Zach a killer and then they broke up Angela and Hodgins. I keep watching because I do enjoy Brennan and Booth together but I'm still angry

6)Show that pissed me off Smallville - They married Chloe off to Jimmy. I stayed well past the time this show jumped the shark (sometime between the 2nd Clark/Lana break up and the 100th)but I am done now.

7) Show that surprised me: Middleman. It took me a few episodes to get into it but now I can't wait for it to return next summer. It was so clever and packed full of pop culture references that makes viewing fun on two different levels.

If your really curious what took up my TV viewing time, I have updated the list of the 500 episodes watched in 2008. The TV addiction starts here
strangevisitor7: I will call Her george (TV Addict)
I adored the original British version of this show. I can not express enough how terrific it was. It was unique and creative and incredibly well acted. Gene Hunt is just an amazing character. So it was with some trepidation I watched the US version last night.

No - Just No. It didn't work for me.

Cut for possible spoilers )
strangevisitor7: I will call Her george (Sam and Dean - Dean Show)
I will put it under the cut because it's spoilerific.

Spoilers )
strangevisitor7: I will call Her george (Dean Approves)
USA today reported that last week's episode of Supernatural was its largest audience since Feb 2004 - 4 million viewers. Whoo Hoo! Almost caught Smallville in the ratings.

Watched tonight's Supernatural. No spoilers just the prevailing wisdom voiced by Dian Winchester that Bobby IS AWESOME!! Love how he keeps calling the boys idjits and other names.

I will post my thought on all the new seasons later - still catching up on the new season from my week without power.

In other news, I am in Alabama on business once again. Stop by say hi - Hotel rooms can be very boring. Flying home tomorrow. I do this just about every other week. It's gets a little tedious but at least I get a lot of writing done.
strangevisitor7: I will call Her george (Ironman - 2)
It's very spoilery so rant under the cut

Unhappy fan girl ahead )
strangevisitor7: I will call Her george (Atlantis Guns)

Doing the happy dance because ABC just announced its fall schedule and Eli Stone is returning. It has a new timeslot Tuesdays at 10pm.

Scrubs is officially on ABC in 2009 - not sure if this is good news. I've loved this show in the past but really I think it was time to let it go.

NBC went Monday. The CW announces its schedule this afternoon. CBS tomorrow and Fox on Friday.

Snagged from  [personal profile] dragonsinger:
Comment on this post and say YO BABY ! I WANT TO DO THAT INTEREST MEME or something like that. I will choose seven interests from your profile and you will explain what they mean and why you are interested in them. Post this along with your answers in your own journal so that others can play along.

[personal profile] dragonsinger  asked me about these seven things

1. My Kids:  Always happy to talk about my boys!  Seth  is 15 (officially on April 30th).  He's on the honor role, the soccer team and the track team.  He takes school very seriously.  Brett is 11.  He's also in honors type classes.  He plays the trumpet in the band and loves video games.  I love and adore them of course. I feel very blessed to have such great kids!

2. The Spacebug: My 1974 VW bug.  The liscense plate is SPACBUG;thus its name.- a nod to my obsession with all things SciFi.

3. British TV: I've been a Dr. Who fan since the 1970s;  Love Torchwood, MI-5, Coupling, the Sharpe Movies; too many shows from across the pond to list them all.  Our favorite late night talk show is Graham Norton.  BBC America is a must have.

4. SFX Magazine - This is an excellent British Scifi magazine.  Along the lines of Entertainment weekly but only for SciFI movies and TV. I love the tone of the articles.  The British seem to have a real appreciation for genre TV and Movies.  Really good coverage of the type of programming that seems to be over looked in the US.  This a magazine that put SPN on the cover - EW would never do that.

5. Poker - Hubby and I were married in Vegas so gambling has always been one of our favorite past times.  I am also a junkie for poker tournaments on TV.  My favorite player is Daniel Negreanu.

6/7. Ezra Standish and Mag7 - I'm putting these two together.  The Magnificent 7 was a western on CBS and aired 22 episodes.  Ezra is the gambler and my favorite charater .  He's the guy in my Icon.  It was  a great show but like so many was cancelled before it's tme. [personal profile] lyl_devil  hooked me on the show and it now ranks among my favorites.  It is an excellent mix of drama and comedy.  Rent it - you won't be sorry!  Plus it had losts of pretty, pretty men.
strangevisitor7: I will call Her george (Tony on your six)
Snagged from [personal profile] ficwriter1966
A TV viewing Meme: So of course I have to do it

1. Bold the shows you've watched every episode of - I'm actually going to use underline as bold doesn't show up well in my journal
2. Italic the shows you've seen at least one episode of
3. Post your answers
I added one more instruction:
4. Add three shows you've seen every episode of  because this list needs to grow

strangevisitor7: I will call Her george (American Idol)
American Idol: My boy, David Cook, rocked the house. Really the best performance of the night. I want to buy his album now! I actually do not like "Billie Jean" - never been an MJ fan but Dave Cook's version - I must have that on my iPod.

So happy that the TV season is starting up again. But it is still a month until SPN returns. *sighs*

So I'll just settle for these cute brothers who fight evil crime for now. I really have write a sequel to my Numb3rs fic. I love this promo for Numb3rs snagged from [ profile] shallanelprin and had to share.

Anybody out there know if Eli Stone is being renewed? I can't take another show I love biting the dust. Haven't I paid enough with CBS' boneheaded move canceling Jericho. Must get more letters written.
strangevisitor7: I will call Her george (Jericho - kansas)
It looks like both the CW and SciFi channel are possibly considering picking up Jericho. The writing campain is underway. You can help make a difference!
Imagine a Jericho/Supernatural block on the CW - Wow now those shows actually work together.

Visit this thread for the info on writing to Sci-fi:

Thanks to [personal profile] xtremeroswellia for the links to these sites.

I don't know who made this banner but I love it!
strangevisitor7: I will call Her george (Mal " I aim to misbehave" Reynolds)
Sitting at home with over a foot of snow on the ground outside - We officially had a Blizzard - Yikes. I can't even get my car out of the driveway.

So it's meme time:
Snagged from [personal profile] kaylashay81 List ten fictional characters you would have sex with (in no particular order) and tag 5 people to do the same. I wasn't tagged but what the hell so It seems i was tagged by [personal profile] dharkapparition.I still won't tag anyone but you know you want to make a list.
