How much do I love this show! "Hell House" was one of my favorites from season one and it was a hoot to see Ed and Harry again.
Loved that Dean and Sam got all potty mouthed and the little skulls bleeping out the bad words - hilarious.
Dean built an electromagnet to wipe out the video. I love geeky inventor Dean. It was nice to be reminded that he has a talent for building gadgets.
Lots of growled shouting for Sam - that Voice Guh!
While I'm not a fan of shaky Camera, it completely worked for this episode.
The shout out by Ed and Harry that the TV execs don't need writers and the mention of the strike, made me giggle. Always fun when shows break the forth wall.
The haunting itself was quite creepy and necrophilia is always just...eeeeww.
Ed and Harry are hilarious and their little crew were perfect. The show completely mocks the ghostbusting shows on SciFI etc. perfectly.
Not the best episode of the season but definitely a great episode to return from hiatus with.
So what did you think? Favorite moments.
And Next Week Daddy's back - Whoo Hoo
Supernatural: Rising Son is a 6 part comic book mini-series being published by WildStorm. And I thought is was well done!
I was suprised especially since the first Supernatural comic was an awful train wreck of crap. For those interested you can find my review of that series here
This new comic is everything the first series wasn't. The story is set preseries in 1990. So the Winchesters boys are ~11 and 7
The art work is so much better. Not that their comic book versions are identifiable as the actors but they at least seem close - much closer than the first series.
This story actually fits canon. It picks up on ideas raised in AHBL. Mary's relative are disappearing and John is trying to figure out why. I could find no glaring errors or canon contradictions. The story works and it is a good one.
John is written as conflicted about what he's doing to his kids. I like this because it shows he cares but can't fight his own obsession.
And Succubus - who doesn't love them. Plus a cameo, off panel appearance by what has to be YED looking for Sam.
All in all a thumbs up and well worth getting the 6 issue series. This Comic is actually filling in background for the TV show. Something the first comics promised but instead created a pathetic AU world.
