The TV Addict Wrap-Up

strangevisitor7In January of 2008 I started the meme to watch 500 TV episodes in 2008. I've completed the list and linked that post below. As I looked over all the TV, I watched this year I realized how many shows I love have been canceled: Jericho, Moonlight, Eli Stone, Pushing Daises and Stargate: Atlantis.
The wrap up of my TV viewing for 2008:
1) Favorite Show : Supernatural (of course). This show has changed so much from what it was the first season but I am still a huge fan and an excited to see where it goes in 2009.
2) Favorite New Show: Leverage came late to the party but I adore this show. Besides the fact that Christian Kane is Hot and Timothy Hutton is a long time crush, the show is witty and snarky and just zings.
3) Favorite show discovered on DVD: Magnificent Seven. Rent it, watch it! You will not be disappointed I promise.
4) Hardest Cancellation: Where do I begin so many shows gone before their time. But for ultimate heartbreak it would have to be Jericho. They teased us with a second chance and then ripped it away
5)Show that disappointed: Bones. I really loved this show until they made Zach a killer and then they broke up Angela and Hodgins. I keep watching because I do enjoy Brennan and Booth together but I'm still angry
6)Show that pissed me off Smallville - They married Chloe off to Jimmy. I stayed well past the time this show jumped the shark (sometime between the 2nd Clark/Lana break up and the 100th)but I am done now.
7) Show that surprised me: Middleman. It took me a few episodes to get into it but now I can't wait for it to return next summer. It was so clever and packed full of pop culture references that makes viewing fun on two different levels.

Date: 2009-01-05 05:37 am (UTC)I'm a late-comer to Bones (only started watching it last year). So, breaking up Angela and Hodgins. Wtf? Zach, a killer? Was so happy to find out, that no, he did not actually kill anybody. Given what I know of the character, he would not do well in prison.
Smallville: I stopped watching around season three or four. The rumours I'm hearing from pen_37 is bad enough. Chloe's memory being wiped? Ick.

Yep Smallville has so completely jumped the shark - you aren't missing anything - I get my Chloe fix from Pen's and others fiction. :D
