I realize that no one will most likely be reading this. (turns out I was wrong. people are out there) In response to the craziness on the LJ, I have been forced to delurk. I read all sorts of Fanfiction but I have never really let the writers know how I feel about their stories. I see Karma at work here. Because I have been to shy (embarrassed) to create one of these accounts and let myself be counted, I may lose the opportunity to tell all those wonderful writers how i feel and i may not be able to read the fiction i love so much. I know it sound weird to be embarrassed about having a journal but I am over 40 and this kind of technology is not comfortable for me.
I love fan fiction especially the absolutely fantastic Supernatural communities I lurk at. I have vowed to tell my favorite writers I love their work and hope that they can trust me enough to friend me.
Thanks for listening. Maybe tomorrow a list of my favorite stories and authors to prove I have been around for years. But for now my top priority to figure out how I can read the latest chapter of Jinni's Alec Winchester verse. Damn youKripke I mean Live journal

Date: 2007-06-02 05:45 am (UTC)LJ is most definitely this strange and lovely island in the middle of nowhere. Got shipwrecked many moons ago thanks to the X-files. I've been lurking around ever since. Enough of the metaphor but I get how you feel. In the X-file fandom, I was able to respond to authors' works through their email addresses and I'm embarassed say that I've been very miserly in my feedback in this shiny, new world of SPN. LJ terrifies me...fear of the unknown and all that. But like you, I hope to take the plunge soon and respond to the some of the most talented writing I've read in a while. I'm glad you've taken the dive and like you belong to a somewhat older (and wiser...lol) demographic whose not that tech savy. Anyhoo, welcome and hope to friend you in the near future. -

Date: 2007-10-17 07:57 pm (UTC)I don't write too much that super personal. I suppose if it was locked then people would have to freind me to read my stuff. That was th ereason i started my journal in the first place because people started locking me out. So I guess that's why i don't.
Wow this is my first post ever. I sound like a dork *hee* It seems like such a long time ago but it was just in May.
