TV Addict Reports

I'm sitting in the hotel in Birmingham and completely frustrated because no CW channel here. So I missed the SPN rerun. And on top of that I have to say American Idol. What the Hell?. I mean seriously. TV addict is not happy tonight.
Eli Stone: Love this show and guess what Gordon Walkers alive! He's Eli's new client. Okay so not really GW but good to see him again. Plus Missouri Mosely is Eli's Secretary. Ok so it's Lorretta Devine but she is exceptional in the role of Patty. Completely love the SPN connections (it's all I'm getting tonight) Keeping my fingers crossed that this totally original and enjoyable show is renewed.
New Amsterdam: This show is growing on me. It's kind of like Highlander without the sword fighting. Unfortunately, I heard it was cancelled. Too bad John's journey was just getting interesting. I hope they answer the question of his true love before the end. I hate it when show are cancelled with no closure. Typical of Fox though.
Jericho still needs your support. Head over here at
xtremeroswellia 's journal for all the details on how you can help bring this excellent show to another network
Micheal John is eliminted. Is this a joke? I'm still a David Cook fan but MJ was my #2. I can't believe that Sayesha and KLC, even Carly, are still there. Yes this week MJ was a little off but he'd had some great weeks before that. I think this may be the biggest shocker ever! Your thoughts?

Date: 2008-04-11 02:57 am (UTC)So, first: American Idol - don't talk to me about that show. Really. I only tolerate it because there's always something else on I can watch. Except for last night, where that whole 'idol gives back' thing ran long, and I had Mariah Carey pre-empting CSI:NY until CTV wised up and stopped overwriting the channels.
I just started to get into New Amsterdam, and am not really surprised it was cancelled. Especially being on Fox. They don't seem to promote new shows very well, and then are too eager to cancel when the ratings don't explode. Well, Fox, that's what happens when you don't advertise a show and people only realize it exists around ep 4! Morons!
Sorry, that was me venting.
I may get into Eli Stone later, but right now I have too many shows to keep track of.

Date: 2008-04-11 03:04 am (UTC)FOX - i just keep asking myself why i bother to watch their shows when they conintually break my heart. Not that I was obssesed with NA but seriously it's almost like they never had any intention of keeping it. Just filler during the strike and that is what pisses me off.
AI - you either love it or hate it. And while i think the idol gives back idea is great - I don't need 3 hours of it. Does that make me a bad person?
And yes i'm rewriting and working on that Fic. [g]

Date: 2008-04-11 03:30 am (UTC)Yes. Everyone who doesn't bow down in adoration at the feet of Mariah Carey as she deigns to shout and shimmy her way into most of the homes in North America, is going to hell.
(Again I state: I have issues.)
And Fox has continually made bad programming choices. They either have a hit, or they cancel the show. Unless it's some annoying reality show where people are manipulated and lied to - then the show will get at least two more seasons.

Date: 2008-04-11 03:39 am (UTC)That reality lie detector thing - i'm appalled it is even on. I feel like we are just a heartbeat away from making "Running Man" a real TV show. Remember that Arnold S. movie where gladiators actually killed people for ratings! yikes

Date: 2008-04-11 03:55 am (UTC)Hey got a new Buck icon. Been looking at lots of Buck pictures so i can describe him better in the story. I know hard work but I'll manage. [g]

Date: 2008-04-11 03:17 am (UTC)Well, honestly, I was debating deleting NA from the DVR. Realistically, I didn't think I'd ever catch up :)

Date: 2008-04-11 03:09 am (UTC)That being said, I don't watch AI. But my flist is outraged over... something. Heh. *facepalm*
And DUDE. You missed the new SPN promo for the next new episode in... *looks at calendar* two weeks? O.O

Date: 2008-04-11 03:16 am (UTC)Promo! Well guess I'll find it later - someone always posts that stuff.
The good news - i'm writing lots. The Bad news - its not FF/SPN. As my official word counter i should report to you that that fic is over 9,000 words and I just needed a break
Seriously everythign I'm writing is turning epic. i need to go back to writing 1,500 word NCIS stuff. [g]

Date: 2008-04-11 03:29 am (UTC)So glad to hear you're writing a lot!! Who cares if it isn't the FF/SPN crossover? Point is, you're writing. That's good! Wish I could say the same, but here's to me kicking my muse into gear and writing through the writer's block tomorrow.

Date: 2008-04-11 06:58 am (UTC)Yep Sterling is amazing. He does tend to play a lot of guys in prison - i wonder if that ever bugs him. i heard he's got a regular gig on some show and that's why SPN killed him off because he wasn't going to be aviable anymore.

Date: 2008-04-11 03:28 pm (UTC)I can honestly say I didn't expect Michael to go. I thought Kristy Lee would go before he would. Interesting.

Date: 2008-04-11 05:08 pm (UTC)AI never fails to amaze me with the people who overstay their welcome. there seems to be one undeserving candidate in the top 6 every year.
