Dammit! Hit post before I meant to ... sorry.

Hogan's Heroes! Scooby Doo! The Partiridge Family! I LOVED all those shows. :D LOL@ Fairly Odd Parents. I guess I could have put Tutenstein down on my list. Right there with you on the American Idol thing. I only watched it one season (I loved the voice of one of the contestants and only watched until he sang, then turned it off), but I was very faithful that one season. I thought about putting it on my list, but since I'm not watching it now and only watched it one season, I decided it didn't really count. Same with Grey's Anatomy ... since I only watched Jeff's episodes, and calling it a "pleasure" of any sort rather than hell I was willing to go through to see Jeff's role in it wouldn't be accurate. :D

Scooby Doo's theme song! How could I have forgotten that one?

I'm with you on all the "couldn't get into them" shows. I had a hard time with that one, because Grey's and Desperate Housewives and all the CSIs aren't really "can't get into them" shows so much as "hate them with a while hot passion because they suck" shows for me. But things like B5 and Prison Break and Heroes ... those aren't shows I consider to suck, and they just seem like they are shows I should really like, but I just can't seem to care about them, even though I've sampled several episodes and actually tried really hard on a couple of them. :(

Farscape almost made my list on the "mourning" endf things, but The Peacekeeper Wars at least gave that some closure, so it ended up 6th rather than making the top 5. Same with Angel. Technically, I probably mourn Angel well within the top 5, but only because the last season was the best season. I'd have killed to see a continuation of THAT Angel. But the second to the last season? It was on the "KILL it already!" list.

This was fun. i haven't thought about some of those show in awhile. you made me remeber how much I enjoyed M*A*S*H - haven;t watched it in yeaars.

As for AI - I think it is the only show I'm embarassed to say I watch but Cris Duaghtry's album is really good and worth that admission.

Theme songs was tough becasue show today barely have credits that don't run during the action let alone songs with words.

I thought about watching Grey's for JDM. Instead I had a friend just summarize the story line to me while I thought about JDM in a hospital bed and that was enough Grey's for me. *hee*

As much as I thought the last two season of SG-1 sucked - I watched for John & Aeryn Vala and Cam - My friends and I called it Fargate. :)

The first serious research paper I wrote was on M*A*S*H. It was great. I was watching episodes 4 times a day (on different channels) and calling it "homework." My teacher sent the finished product to Alan Alda, who wrote me a really nice letter about how awesome he thought it was. Probably cemented my love for the industry right there, if it wasn't already bone deep in me, which I think it already was.

I tried to make do on Grey's with just his clips from the JDM sites, but finally decided I should at least watch the 3 episodes that were predominantly him (I'd already tried Grey's when Kyle Chandler was on it and decided I'd rather poke my eyes out than watch it on a regular basis) in their entirity. Which I did ...as well as the 4th one when he came back. I consider it the turning point between me being nuts about just John and me being nuts about Jeff, too. Because if I hadn't thought he was just about the bee's knees by then? Not a freaking chance in hell I would have watched those episodes.

If you do want to catch the role itself (which actually IS worth watching ... I still don't know how Shonda can write Denny so well and be such a drama soap queen on the others), you might try the clips on the JDM sites. They are great fun to watch, and Jeff puts a nail through the charm factor that makes it clear why this was the role that catipulted him to the top of everybody's mind.

I kept watching SG1 for Vala and Cam, too. I thought it was brilliant of them to pick both actors up after Farscape was over. And I loved what they did at first, right after Browder joined the cast. It was great for just about a half a season again. And the first 4 or 5 eps after Vala joined full-time were equally awesome. Which actually made it incredibly frustrating. Because they would do these absolutely wonderful things that made me go "Now THIS is my Stargate, again!" and then I'd go through 7 episodes of boring-as-hell. Which putting Browder, Shanks AND Claudia on the screen at that same time? How the FUCK did they write that to boring? But they did. And it made me crazy.

But I watched it to the bitter end, entirely because when they hit with Cam and Vala and Daniel, they really hit. It was just that the rest of the time, they really sucked in a totally depressing way, especially given how great the show was when Jack and Daniel were in their heyday. :(

I finally got to see him in P.S. I Love You along with Gerry Butler whom i love(I swear I'd watch that man read the phone book). I was in heaven and JDM was totally charming - so different from John W. I know now that I have to at least watch his scenes from GA.

If I loved him as an unhappy but loving dad how much more when he turns on the flirty Charm Guh!
How cool to get that kind of acknowledgement from Alan Alda. He's always been one of the great actors of TV in my mind.

I completely know where you are coming from with SG-1. I just don;t get how they could have made it so mundane toward the end. As for Sam Carter, the last to seasons of SG-1 cemented a growing annoyance with her to an active dislike. Get her off Atlantis!!!

The guy has charm down to a serious art form. Have you seen the trailer for Accidental Husband? If not, you should. That movie is going to make him a HUGE star, methinks. And while I love Gerry, too (LOVED him in 300, loved him almost that much in PS), I completely agreed with the critics that the movie would have been much, much better if there'd been 10 times more William at the sacrifice of everyone else (and I'm actually saying that as a media critic, not a Jeff fan). Except for the suspenders dance, which was a freakin riot.

Alan was great to me. Very supportive and complimentary at a time when writing wasn't really even on my grid as anything I did other than for fun. But pop culture and TV has ALWAYS been on my grid, and MASH was one of my favorite shows, so it put me in serious squee-ville on that front, rather than poking me to take the advantage of it I should have.

I was actually glad to see Sam move to SGA ... mostly because I hated Elizabeth so much. That character drove me NUTS. Probably, in large part, because I loved the way Jessica Steen played that role originally (I don't usually follow the work of actresses, as compared to actors, but Jessica, Claudia and Eliza are exceptions to that rule), and Torri always seemed like such a pale, blande, cajoneless revision of a character I loved when she first showed up. So for me, although Sam hasn't really added anything to SGA (and she always irked me a bit on SG1, too ... far too Mary Sue for my tastes), she made the show better just by Weir no longer being in command.

Have you seen the trailer for Accidental Husband? Yes! I did and I loved the new york accent and just well you know... Very much looking forward to it.

His success only means we will most likely never see him on SPN again. I was hoping for a flash back episode one day with him. :(

I agree more JDM was needed in PS. More Gerry was needed too but he was dead oh well... I was very sorry when JDM showed up so late in the movie and the accent was so cute

Fell in love with Gerry in Timeline - I love that movie even though most people think it's crap. I'm a sucker for time travel. :) And he spoke in his real Scottish accent.- Did I mention i like accents?

Wier never bothered me either way. (she was that Vanilla) So i don't miss her but Carter - nails on a blackboard. She didn't used to bother me so much but the way they are using her in SGA makes no sense

I'm okay with not seeing him on SPN again. I'd love to get him back, but I'd rather have Jeff get the career and regard he deserves now that they've at least sent John to Mary.

I'm with the majority on Timeline, I'm afraid. Supernova is my big "I loved that movie!" for a movie that everyone else in SFdom hated.
