1. We friended over Richie and Highlander - the details of which elude me. But I know I was a newbie asking Highlander questions and you answered.

My favourite comfort food is anything involving cheese and carbohydrates - preferably cheesy mash, but macaroni cheese or cheese on toast are equally good substitutes!

And generally I like to watch a DVD (or ten)to cheer myself up. It depends on what kind of funk I'm in, sometimes I'll want to watch a comedy, but often something gothic like Dark City, or Underworld does the job.

If that fails then a walk on an empty windswept beach usually works too. :)

5. good question. they've all done some weird shit. but olivia, the kitten, does some of the weirdest... she snagged my bunny slipper off of my foot one morning so she could go "hunt" it. in the same right, she carries my shoes (especially my bunny slippers and my flip flops) all over the house, and i have to go looking for the rogue footwear.

tess likes to be squirted with the spray bottle of water i thought was a deterrant... sometimee i think she's bad on purpose to make me spray her.

but the oddest thing... one christmas, one of them stol the joseph out of my nativity. granted, it was only foam (but that's what made it kind of funny), but joseph mever showed up again. so i have a little "broken home" nativity. and every now and then my mom or dad will ask, "any sign of joseph?"

i'm thinking of calling unsolved mysteries.

and i'm soooo glad i trusted you to help me beta... you were so incredibly helpful! you are The Magnificent Beta

5. Through Sentinel fanfiction, actually... I loved Gil Hale's writing so I tried her long (and fabulous) TS/M7 ATF crossovers, The Compassion Trap and Demolition Men. And immediately thought "heeeyyyyyy..."... Next thing, I was devouring the fic and chasing up the tapes (I now have the DVDs, of course).

6. Jim and Blair are so lovely, it's very hard to go wrong. Thrilled to hear that you are joining the fandom - there's a lot of wonderful writing out there :)

I find it completely hilarious that I have done the exact opposite by finding the sentinel fandom through exactly the same fics. I read Compassion trap first and then any Mag7/Sentinel crossovers I could find. I downloaded the seasons and I'm halfway through the third one now.
So of course I've pilfered a few of your sentinel icons now

5. Well, I did find out once that a moog is actually a type of speaker or something. But that really has nothing to do with my nickname Moogs. Not really sure how my friends arrived at that name in high school... it used to be Morg until one of my friends decided to try and be clever and say, "You wanna go to the morgue, Morg?" Yeah. That killed that quick. So then my other friends decided I should have a new nickname (I think we all got new nicknames around the same time) and somehow settled on Moogs. It's stuck ever since.

As for Moogs - i love when our friends give us crazy monikers. I thought it might be for a Moog synthesizer (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moog_synthesizer) cause that seemed to fit in my mind. Music & writing - there's a connection.
