I got tagged by lyl_devil, so here it goes:

a. list seven habits/quirks/facts about yourself

1. I hate to go to sleep. I can be a terrible insomniac. When I'm traveling on business i exist on < 3 hours sleep because i hate sleeping in hotel rooms.

2. I wrote my first fan fiction back when i was a kid (1970's). They hadn't even coined the term fanfiction yet. It was a Bonanza Mary Sue story - hey I was 10 what do you expect. I'm dying to find it again just for the curiosity factor

3. I spent 7 years teaching chemistry at a private high school while my kids were little before going back to industry and process engineering. I still miss it sometimes

4. I'm a TV addict but most of you know that. I am easily susceptible to DVD marathons. As witnessed by the Jericho first season marathon I had a few weeks back and I blame lyl_devil for my new Magnificent Seven obsession. Guys I am weak stop throwing these good shows at me.

5. I lurked for almost 3 years before I entered the fray of LJ. Wrote my very first posted story on June 6th, 2007. It was the first time anyone but me had read something I'd written.

6. I am obsessed with the Oscars - though I've been growing out of it. My goal was to see every movie that ever won an Oscar in the top 6 categories (movie, director and acting). Of the 80 best picture winners - I haven't seen 3. As for the acting categories I'm missing about 40 movies

7. I love to bowl. I carry a 160 average and bowl in a league every Sunday night with Hubby.

Wow you sure have been writing fanfic for a long time. Thats awesome.
I love to bowl. Haven't been in a really long time though. Maybe thats what my roommate and I will do this weekend..

All my early stuff was terribly Mary Sue. it wasn't until last year that i stepped up to really improve and post.

Bowling is fun and the only sport that gets better with alcohol. :)

The first time I bowled, I scored a 7. I don't remember what I scored the last time I bowled - there was too much beer involved. :D

I hear ya on the tv addict bit. If I augmented my standard practicing with the amount of time I spend watching tv I'd have a spot in The Met.

I love bowling, too. Mu Phi Epsilon always has a bowling night as a part of rush and it's one of the best parts of the semester. 30-40ish friends crowding 4 lanes while randomly bursting out into musical numbers? With choreography? Priceless.

Which reminds me......Wizard of Oz?

TV addiction - do they have a 12 step program - not that i would enter one. I'm a happy addict. ;p

The dancing on the alleys was my favorite scene in "across the universe"

As for the story - it has stalled. But I promise it is on the list - I need a plot bunny to make the concept ork and i can't find one.
