Feeling better, just in time for Supernatural

Hey guys, thanks for all the hugs and sympathy during my bout with food poinsoning. I hope I never have to go through that again. Luckily the training I had on give on Wedenesday was postponed until today - My boss was very sympathetic and let everyone know it was postponed. i don't think i could have stayed upright if I'd had to teach. Stayed home on Wednesday and slept pretty much until Thursday morning.

And a bonus to feeling better was a new Supernatural tonight.



I liked the episode but it scared the crap out of me. It didn't help that my cat got into the closet. I swear that scared me almost as much as the episode when he jumped out at me right in the middle.

I do wonder how The caged and barely human siblings had such good penmanship to write 'Go' and 'too late' but I guess they were really really smart. *snickers*

It was a nice change of pace from the heavy duty mythic stuff. Just like "the Benders" it was a reminder that people can be horrible and disgusting. I still am not clear on why 20 years later the kids decided to finally take Daddy out and they obviously didn't bother the people who painted the place. Just a quibble I guess.

My biggest complaint..and this comes from a die hard Dean girl... where was Sam. Dean didn't even hear the conversation about Andy so why was he the one comforting the dad.

I'm not sure I can handle Dean getting all weepy at the end of every episode - I understand he journey in Hell was...well hell...and I know he can't just get over it. not sure why emo Dean is bothering me...guess I expect it from Sam.

Oh and a couple of thoughts on Smallville: (Hubby still likes it so I guess I'm still watching) At least Chloe got her memory of super Clark back...score one for the writers knowing that erasing that part of her was a big mistake. all in all (except for the reminder that she's married to jimmy) it actually wasn't a bad episode and I really liked the three Legion members who showed up. Color me surprised I actually enjoyed the episode - even the presence of Lana didn't irritate.

So your thoughts about SPN and any one still watching Smallville out there - what did ya think?

Or not. I was actually thrown by the fact that the...twins was it?...were human. Even after the girl crossed the salt line I was still expecting some supernatural explanation. Couldn't tell you what, but human just didn't cross my mind.

I missed SV, though, so I'll have to go find it somewhere and catch up. Gotta see how they fixed Chloe since I got her kidnapped in Crossing Kansas, too. (Though she isn't married in my canon so I can just ignore that part) xD

Yes, there should be more Sam *nods* And this is the first episode of Supernatural to actually scare the crap out of me. I never really thought the series was that scary. Over all a good episode but I would like some movement to a resolution or even just a feeling of moving forward with the whole 'Dean tortured people in hell' storyline.

Smallville: Color me also surprised, I really like this episode. I like the Legion members, I actually liked Lana (something that hasn't happened since, oh, season three or so). I was really impressed with Allison Mack this episode, she did a great job. Can Clark just fly already? Please? Seriously people.

It was easily the scariest episode to date.

Smallville really made me happy that they gave Chloe back her memory - that Clark would wipe it in the first place was so wrong on so many levels.

Just like I am tired of emo dean - I am very tired of emo Clark - He needs to step up and fly - at least he's moved further in this one season than he had in the previous 7. Also - more legion those guys were great.

I wondered how they knew how to write and all also. Maybe they didn't bother the people who did hte painting because they were out there in the daylight and the light hurt their eyes too much.

Totally creepy episode, yep! I missed Sam too. I do hope they find some way to get Dean back on an even keel - I know right now he's suffering because he's finally opening up and accepting what happened in hell, but he's going to bounce back, he's got to.

Emo Dean is ok in small doses but every episode is ending with "THE CAR SCENE". I think that it no longer has the power it did back when they first used this device in season 2 becasue the audience now knows that "THE CAR SCENE" = Dean emo time. Just a thought.

Forgot about the hand licking - Big Yuck on that - i don't even want to know which twin was doing it or why

Haven't seen too many episodes of SPN this season but this one did give me the heeby jeebys. Some days, I can totally relate to emoDean but I did miss Sam. One of the reasons, i love SPN is because of the chemistry between the brothers and I missed it last night.

Glad you are better.

Also, I know you liked "Moonlight." So, thought you might like to know that Amazon has it on preorder. It's due out this coming Tuesday.

Yep I agree that the chemistry is out of whack. Hopefully we've had the final Dean emo confession and they can get on the path to just being brothers again soon.

Good question. I think they could definitely work Sam in a little bit better - just because this episode was clearly All About Dean doesn't mean Sam can't have something invested in this, too. I get why they had it be Dean given the direction the episode was pointed in, but it still doesn't make as much sense as having Sam talk to the dad.

I'm surprised they don't make JP twiddle his thumbs, just so he has something to do. Okay, so that's not fair. Sam did take point a few times and delegated after the boy went missing. What little he had was done well. I just want more of him, you know? :)

I do feel that we haven't had a good fluffy - all about Sam episode in so long!! and his mythic arc moments don't count. The show is a little out of balance. I can only imagine how the Sam girls feel when i want to see more of him too
