TV Addict Review - Leverage

Many shows are on hiatus already - (Supernatural boo hoo) but I have found a new show to love after one episode.

Leverage premiered on Sunday. The cast is awesome - Tim Hutton and Chris Kane. Chris Kane with long hair and glasses - OMG. As for the show itself, fantastic. Entertainment Weekly said it was better than the last two Ocean's movies and they were right.


The way the crew comes together under Tim Hutton makes perfect sense. He's the good guy riding herd on a group of grifters and thieves. I already love the dynamic between the crew. They don't trust each other but they trust Nate (Tim's character). The con is fantastic - very twisty and surprising - even though you know the crew is going to win.

Gina Bellman plays Sophie the 'face' of the group. I adored her in the UK series Coupling and was excited to see her here. And of course Chris Kane - I loved him as Lindsey on Angel and I'm happy to have him back weekly on my TV. He's the muscle of the group so he gets to do a lot of fighting. The scene where he takes out four security guards before Hardison's bag hits the ground is brilliant. Looking forward to more of that. His sniping with Aldis Hodge who plays Hardison is hilarious. All in all a great first episode - I hope they can keep it up because I'm already in love with this show. I even have my first Elliot icon.

So glad to see others are getting into this show too. I've actually only been able to see half of the first episode so far, but I've got it and two recorded and will be making time to watch them before the week is over. I hope.

Thanks for the link. I was looking for Leverage stuff last night when I remembered you had an Elliot icon - so I wa able to fill the immediate and necessary icon fix.

Back in July I think (when the pre-air pilot started showing up roundabouts), I snagged a bunch of Eliot icons, even though I was waiting for the show to air before watching it. I couldn't resist Eliot even then. Glad my obsession was able to help you feed yours. ;)

Yep this is my new must see show! Really I think this is my favorite new show of the season! My mom even watch the premiere on Sunday because I'd been talking about it having been filmed in Chicago and my Dad watched the edited pilot and the second eppy on Tuesday when they aired.

So excited it's Leverage Tuesday LOL. It so fills the SPN void this holiday season. Dude I think I love Tuesdays now! The sad thing is I love SPN and I miss seeing the boys every week, but this is definately an awesome void-filler!! Gods Chris was sooo hot last night!

I Joined that community! And the funny thing I heard about it months ago when they first set it up but I still haven't joined it. I check something like once a day now though!
