So glad you enjoyed the banter - it was a blast to write.
As for the other hunter - no one in particular just a bad one obviously - at one point I was going to have it be John - one of his early adventures before he go to be a good hunter. Sam was going to find a reference to it in the journal but then I would have lost this scene so I ditched that angle.
