Yes I'm a fan of AI. I really enjoy the show and the whole family watches together. Last year was weak and I thought it might have peaked with season 5. But I am back to loving American Idol this year. I think it's been a great year so far.
Last week's Beatles night was one of the best and while Tuesday's repeated theme was not as strong I still think that this is one of the strongest groups in years. I totally have Beatles on the brain and have gone off to find a bunch of songs the show reminded me I liked and need to have on my ipod.
Love my boy David Cook. Huge fan and I seriously can not wait to buy what ever album he puts out. If it's half as good as Daughty's it will be great.
I kind of liked Amanda. I thought she was unique and I was sorry to see her go. But she had become a bit of a one trick pony. Really Kristy Lee need to go. She's about as lively as a piece of wood onstage.
Jericho - I absolutely & am completely addicted to this show. Does anybody out there know anything about its renewal? I'm dying here waiting for CBS to make a decision. The good news is I've heard that Sci FI channel is waiting in the wings to grab it if CBS is stupid enough to cancel. But you never know if it will be the same show if it changes stations.
I highly recommend Jericho. - Season 1 is excellent and well worth the rental. You should be watching this show I think it's conspiracy and characters are better than Lost.
New Amsterdam: Maybe it's the Highlander fan girl in me but this show is growing on me. It's is getting better each week and the actor playing John is very charismatic. The structure of the story is the same as Highlander with cool period flashbacks that parallel the modern story. (Without all the messing beheading) I guess when you're 400 years old you've got an anecdotal memory for everything that's ever happened. I find it interesting that John Amsterdamn is about the same age as Duncan MacLeod.
Eli Stone: I find this show utterly charming. The musical visions just work for me. They've got a good balance going between the life stuff and the fantasy stuff. Again the actor playing Eli really sells the concept.
John Adams: HBO has created a truly fantastic program. John Adams has always been a favorite president of mine - too many viewings of 1776, I guess. The whole family watched it and my kids loved it. It was great to see history presented in a way that also incredibly riveting. I mean we know what's going to happen - they declare independence - and yet the drama of it is so compelling And actually, I was surprised to see so many little things in the mini-series that reminded me of 1776. Not that I expected the congress to break into a chorus of "Sit Down, John" - we did that for them - but I was impressed with how right that musical actually got it.
As Always, I am interested in knowing what you're watching and what you think.

Date: 2008-03-20 04:30 pm (UTC)Amanda either didn't understand the concept of 'expanding' her repertoire or she really couldn't sing any other way. But I liked her anyway. Except for her hair. Reminded me of Magenta from Rocky Horror.
I think Brooke is my fav lady so far.

Of the guys, I'm not likin' Chikezie. Jason invokes urges of immediate smishing and pinching of cheeks and that's before he sings *flutter
Michael has a good voice, he's just making bad song choices. David Cook rocks. really
Hopefully, David A's father won't mess things up for him, cause he's wonderful.

Jericho wins! I sat and watched all of season 1 online after hearing about the Nuts! campaign and couldn't wait for S2
Now, there's only 1 ep left.
Oh and another guilty pleasure is Dancing With the Stars.

Both Kristy & Ramiele bore me to tears. Absolutely,If I hear one more thing about Kristy's horse i may scream. I think Ramiele is boring but has talent; like Michael, she just hasn't found that breakout song.
Jericho renewel - it's worse than waiting on SPN renewal last year!

Date: 2008-03-20 05:45 pm (UTC)As far as the changes this season go, I miss Johnston Green something awful. Was really glad to see Gail back in action. Am not disappointed that they scaled back on Dale, although it came as a surprise that he was off scrounging things when the last I recall from S1, he and a bunch of refugees were trying to claim and hold a farm against invading New Bernese. Hello, missing subplot?! Really glad to see a lot of Deputy Bill, although I'd squee even louder if they'd trot Jonah out for an ep or two.

Date: 2008-03-20 06:07 pm (UTC)I didn't used to watch Jericho but for some reason have been lately. Didn't Skeet's teeth used to be crooked? I liked him better that way! Now when he talks all I see are teeth. ;) Poor Stanley. *hugs him*
I admit my addiction to Top Chef and Make Me a Supermodel. And I watch America's Next Top Model to see Tyra being an idiot, which she never, ever fails to do. It is All. About. Tyra.
*hangs head in shame*
PS, I really wish The CW would air reruns of SPN instead of that awful Reaper.

Date: 2008-03-20 07:47 pm (UTC)I hope you're write about the cliffhanger ending but the networks have never shown themselves to be that bright. I have this feeling that CBS resents being blackmailed into renewing Jericho and can wipe it away with - hey we gave them closure

Date: 2008-03-20 07:51 pm (UTC)I don't mind David A but i do mind that the show seems to have crowned him the winner already. he's already had the pimp spot twice and he seems to get a lot of face time. I'd like a little more suspense in my program.
I feel guilty about my reality show choices too. Especially with the writer's strike and all but some of them are a lot of fun.
Oh and so much hate for Reaper in SPN time slot!

Date: 2008-03-21 12:33 am (UTC)I'm so glad they got it back because it is rocking. What happened with Bonnie has me not wanting to watch The Cutting Edge ever again... and the scene with Stanley 'talking' to her in the morgue was beautiful! I've been too scared to look for renewal information... too scared...
And I also like that Deputy Bill got some play time. I was watching it going, now why is he familiar, and then I did a head slap and shouted, "Trickster!"
New Amsterdam
It is growing on me too. He's an interesting actor, kinda captivating. I like the angle with his son too.
PS: Thanks for bidding!! :-)
