In Birmingham and I'd rather not be.

Just me whining. I headed off to Birmingham yesterday, hoping to get a little writing done on the plane and a relaxing time in the hotel. It was not to be...I am sick as a dog. I think I had food poisoning - seriously not a happy camper Do you have any idea how not fun it is to be sick in a strange city and stuck in a hotel?

The of course I had to go to the plant today to work on my projects. Needless to say I am still feeling like crap and I think I've have downed an entire bottle of Pepto Bismol. I just needed to whine about it becasue...well I feel like crap and have to get on a plane in an hour to fly home. Not looking forward to it because I just know it wont be pleasant.

Please tell me your day is going better then mine.

OTOH, you could turn this into a fic bunny. Imagine one of the 7 or one of the Winchesters or anyone from any fandom being sick in a strange city. And having to function while sick.

*HUGS* I know exactly how you feel! Had that happen to me on a band trip when I was 15. Well, not food poisoning, but I was still sick and stuck in Banff.

Still had to go out and perform the next day, couldn't slack off 'cause there were only so many of us there on tha trip.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that! Food poisoning is horrible and being in a hotel with no chance of pampering just adds more to the suffering. I do hope that you get over that quickly and that you have a safe trip home.

Bummer. Hope you feel better real soon and that it was just a short thing. I've had food poisoning and it is aweful, but doesn't usually last too long. Sorry you were so far from home and then had to fly :(

I am trying to get rid of a super bad cold that just keeps hanging around, and my benefit insurance doesn't kick in until Feb. so no doctor for me. I think I've downed 2 bottles of cough/cold medicine, 2 bags of cough drops, and 2 boxes of kleenex. It sucks. I even had to take a day off work when my voice went bye-bye and I had the headache from hell (I teach middle school math).
