I love crossovers too. They do tend to open up more possiblities.

Certainly the shows can never do what we do in fanfic - and that's what makes it fun!
Exactly what I've been saying anytime I need to explain what fanfiction is! Anything can and generally does happen in fanfic. Someone you like on the show got killed off, you fix it "poof all better".
